During May and June, while road improvements continued, our focus also turned to building essential infrastructure—making space for our team, equipment, and efficient day-to-day operations. These behind-the-scenes efforts are laying the groundwork for smooth construction in the months ahead.

Nurturing Nature

While construction paused for the Sri Lankan New Year, our team turned their attention to the land itself. Around the future cabin area, we planted coconut and king coconut trees, marked the property boundary, and built protective fences. It was a quieter chapter in the resort’s progress—but one that brought us closer to creating a space that feels naturally welcoming from the ground up.

On Solid Ground

Nestled in the serene hills of Palawela, Ratnapura, Gem Mountain Resort is steadily taking shape—one rock, one road, and one retaining wall at a time.
