Gem Mountain’s 700-Foot Makeover
February 10, 2025
At Gem Mountain, we know that a strong foundation is the backbone of any great project. Over the past three months, our team has been hard at work transforming the landscape with a state-of-the-art concrete drainage system and a durable 700-foot road —all while adding those final touches that make it truly special. Here’s how we turned vision into reality.
Phase 1: Mastering Drainage (November – December 2024)
We kicked things off in early November 2024 by tackling the concrete drainage system , a critical piece of the puzzle. Spanning 700 feet , this system was designed to handle water flow efficiently, preventing erosion and ensuring the road stays intact during heavy rains or snowmelt. By mid-December , we had completed this phase, setting the stage for what came next.
Phase 2: Paving the Way (January 2025)
With drainage squared away, we moved on to the star of the show: the road’s concrete surface . By the first week of January 2025 , we unveiled a smooth, sturdy 700-foot stretch of road built to last. Whether you’re commuting or hauling goods, this road promises safety, reliability, and style.
Final Touches: Reinforcing with Rubble
Now, we’re putting the finishing touches on the project by adding 6×9 rubble layers to the center and sides of the road. These layers aren’t just about looks—they add stability, improve drainage, and ensure the road can handle whatever comes its way. It’s these small but mighty details that set this project apart.
Why This Matters
In just three months , we’ve gone from concept to completion, delivering infrastructure that’s as functional as it is impressive. This project isn’t just about building roads—it’s about creating connections, supporting the community, and paving the way for future growth. Plus, with eco-friendly design elements like advanced drainage, we’ve ensured minimal environmental impact.
What’s Next?
As we wrap up, we’re excited to see how this new infrastructure enhances life at Gem Mountain. Whether you’re driving along the freshly paved road or admiring the craftsmanship behind the scenes, one thing is clear: this project is built to last.
Stay tuned for more updates—and thank you for being part of the journey!
