Finding the Perfect View

July 6, 2026

With each stage of development, Gem Mountain moves closer to becoming a destination that blends comfort with nature. During the first quarter of 2026, attention turned to preparing the future staff house by selecting the ideal location, strengthening the landscape, and improving site access. These essential works laid the foundation for supporting the dedicated team behind the project’s continued growth.

Preparing the Future Staff House

January – March 2026

The first quarter of 2026 focused on preparing the next major phase of development at Gem Mountain. Work centered on identifying and preparing the future staff house location, strengthening the terrain through land filling and rock wall construction, and continuing the expansion of the internal road network throughout the property.

After careful evaluation, a location was selected for the future staff house. Positioned to provide convenient access to all sections of the property while offering sweeping views of the surrounding mountains, the area was cleared and prepared for construction activities.

Due to the steep natural terrain, significant earthworks were required before construction could proceed. Excavation and land-filling activities began to create a stable building platform, with machinery working to reshape and level the selected area while preserving the character of the landscape.

To support the newly created platform, large stone retaining walls were constructed using locally sourced rock. These structures provide long-term slope stabilization while blending naturally into the mountain environment. The completed retaining walls now form the foundation of the future staff accommodation area.

Alongside these works, the internal road network continued to expand across the project site. Road improvements enhanced access between different sections of the property, making transportation of materials, equipment, and personnel more efficient as development progressed.

The quarter also saw continued production and stockpiling of construction materials, ensuring resources remained available for upcoming building phases while supporting ongoing infrastructure development throughout the property.

By March 2026, Gem Mountain had successfully established the future staff house location, completed major land-filling and retaining wall works, and further improved access across the site. These developments represent another important step in creating the infrastructure needed to support the long-term vision of Gem Mountain.
