From Helipad to Infrastructure

April and May marked an exciting chapter in Gem Mountain’s journey as essential infrastructure continued to take shape. From creating reliable aerial access with the completion of the helipad to providing accommodation for the growing workforce and producing key construction materials on-site, each milestone brought the vision of Gem Mountain one step closer to reality.
Strengthening the Infrastructure for Future Growth
April – May 2026 | Building for the Future
April and May marked another major milestone at Gem Mountain as key infrastructure projects continued to take shape. A fully functional helipad was completed in preparation for an official helicopter visit, improving access to the remote site. At the same time, a temporary staff house was constructed to provide comfortable accommodation for contractors and site workers, while production of concrete cylinders and culvert pipes began to support upcoming road and construction projects across the property.
A Temporary Home for the Team
The temporary staff house quickly came together using the cement blocks produced on-site. From the first walls to the completed roof, the building now provides a practical and comfortable space for contractors and workers, allowing construction activities to continue efficiently in the heart of the mountain.
Supporting Future Development
With the staff house complete, attention turned to producing concrete cylinders and culvert pipes. These essential components will be used in future drainage systems, road crossings, and other infrastructure projects throughout Gem Mountain, ensuring the site is well prepared for long-term expansion.
A New Helipad Takes Shape
Work also focused on completing the new helipad, built to welcome an official helicopter site visit. From erecting the timber framework to working late into the night under floodlights, the team remained committed to finishing the structure safely and on schedule. The completed helipad now provides reliable aerial access to the mountain while adding another important piece of infrastructure to the project.
